Listing Your Property   Leave a comment

If you plan on listing your Milford CT real estate, you want the most exposure possible. There’s a lot of competition out there, and there are also many factors that may affect your listing, such as your location and price, so you’ll need all the exposure you can get to increase you chances of selling your property at the price you deserve.

Here are a few ways you can get this optimal marketing exposure:

1) Yard Signs

If you want to keep up with the competition of other Milford CT homes for sale, you need to put up a yard sign for your listing. I’ve dealt with some sellers who refused to put up a yard sign. Did any of them sell their property? No.

Of course, it’s up to YOU the seller as it’s YOUR listing, but if you are serious about selling your home, definitely consider a yard sign, especially if your property is located on a high traffic road.

2) Craigslist

While this internet classifieds site is more inclined towards rental listings, this is still an excellent avenue for advertising your listing. Craigslist has a large amount of traffic, so if you take advantage of this traffic source, you can get a lot of exposure to your listing.

3) Real Estate Authority Sites

Big name real estate authority sites such as Trulia, ActiveRain, and Zillow attract large amounts of local target traffic towards their listing pages. As a Prudential CT Realtor, I can have your home listed on such sites. Most of them have in-depth metrics systems so I can track when people actually check out your listings. With the power of the internet, this is such a strong tool in your marketing arsenal.

4) My Website

Many Realtors in the area still don’t have websites. Even if they do, they don’t receive the amount of exposure that mine does, as it’s optimized for Google and other various search engines. Through my website, you will receive lots of traffic to your Milford CT homes for sale listed, especially with our site designed for generating leads.

5) The Local MLS

This is a great resource that you’ll only get if you sign a listing agreement with a licensed real estate agent. With your home in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), you’ll have your listing exposed to all the agents in the area. So when they’re browsing for properties to show their buyers, yours has a high chance for showings and offers.

Congrats UConn Men!   Leave a comment

Milford CT homes for sale aside…let’s talk UConn basketball. Boy! What a season this was! I had no expectations of the men to make it this far in the NCAA tournament.

With the regular season they were having and my tight real estate schedule, I didn’t really make room for watching college basketball aside from the UConn women’s team (that was such a devastating loss). I didn’t really start watching the men again until the Big East Tournament where they totally kicked butt! Ever since, Kemba and the rest of the UConn men have been ON FIRE!

Last night, victory felt so sweet and I just felt so proud to be a fan as well as a resident of this wonderful state of Connecticut.

As for the women, that was a rough loss. Between the men and women, I really thought the women were going all the way this year, and with the men doing so well, I was hoping for a repeat of 2004 where both teams won the NCAA championship.

Oh well…you win some and you lose some.

March Madness couldn’t have ended at a better time…floor times have been busy with calls so I have less time to watch the games! Let’s hope the market in Milford CT continues in this direction 🙂

Don’t Settle for Less   Leave a comment

When looking for a new house, you don’t want to make an offer just because you see a really enticing price tag. Do you know the full story behind the house? At that price, do you have what you’re looking for in a home for you? Are you willing to make an offer on a fixer-upper or do you want something in move-in condition?

These are the types of questions you want to ask yourself when looking for a home. Fortunately, even in a small city (with a big heart), Milford CT real estate is quite diverse and leaves buyers with a multitude of options in homes.

As your Realtor, I’m willing to work with you in order to find the home of your dreams. Sometimes, people find the right home for them instantly, while others can possibly take years, such as the experience one of my clients had where it took him 2 years for an offer to go through on the house he wanted.

In the end, I want my buyers to be completely satisfied with their purchase. This is not like buying a piece of clothing that doesn’t fit and returning it for a refund or exchange. Buying a home is a huge commitment, especially if you plan on staying at this home for a good amount of time. That’s why I don’t want any of my clients to experience any regrets or buyer’s remorse.

So don’t settle for less. You want to find the house worth your time and money. Also, you want to find a house that’s worthy for you and your family.
